Bars are made by hot rolling and/or cold working and heat treating to be superelastic or shape memory. Straight superelastic bar has been made in diameters from 8 mm to 65 mm (0.315" to 2.5").
Hot rolled sheet : random length from 0.127 mm x 50 mm x 1828 mm (0.005" x 2.0" x 72") to 3.2 mm x 305 mm x 1828 mm (0.125" x 12" x 72")
Thickness : down to 1.8 mm (0.070")
Width : up to 304 mm (12")
Random length : 1.2 meters (4') minimum
Experimental ingots weigh from 2 pounds to 300 pounds. Production ingots for in-house processing weigh from 30 pounds to 4000 pounds.
